Shrimp Fried Rice -Dairyfree/Soyfree

Soyfree fried rice, can it be true? We have been on the search for a Soyfree “soy sauce” and finally found one! Often having an allergy to dairy means soy is off the menu too. Eating out at Asain restaurants becomes a challenge when avoiding soy, so we’re happy to share this dairyfree/Soyfree fried rice recipe in hopes it will hit the spot when you’re craving some Chinese take-out.

You can whip the recipe up in less time than it would take the delivery guy to show up and it’s healthy without all of the MSG.

  • 1 pound shrimp
  • 1/2 bag organic frozen peas
  • 1/2 sweet onion chopped
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups uncooked rice
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Secrets – Coconut Aminos

Cook rice according to package. (We use a rice cooker so 2 cups of rice, 3 cups water) Peel and chop onion.  Wash shrimp and remove tails.   Add olive oil, 2 tablespoon water, peas and onions to wok or large pan. Cook for 3  – 5 minutes. Stir in cooked rice and shrimp. Mix.Add Coconut Aminos or Soy sauce and stir. Move mixture to side of pan and cook eggs. Mix eggs into rice. Mix everything together and you’re all set!  Enjoy!
