Honey Baked Pears -Dairyfree, Glutenfree 

The hardest part of this recipe is waiting for the oven timer to go off, so you can eat these yummy treats! 

This simple, dairyfree dessert is a healthyish treat the whole family will enjoy.


  • 4 Pears (we used organic Red D’Anjou)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (we used Wegmans organic wildflower honey)
  • 4 tablespoons nondairy butter (we used Earths Balance Olive Oil)
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon


Wash pears.  Dry pears. Cut pears in half. Chop off top and bottom and scoop out seeds. (we used a melon baller)

 Cover baking sheet with foil. Put pears on baking sheet. 

Spoon a teaspoon of dairyfree butter in to middle of pear, drizzle with honey and sprinkle cinnamon on top.

   Bake in oven for 1 hour at 400.  
  Remove pears from oven and brush extra juice from the center over pear.  Serve warm.
